Beyond Pain as Invitation: An Experiential Two-Day Gestalt Workshop on Chronic Pain & Illness in Therapy

What if pain isn’t the end point—but the beginning of contact?
This immersive, experiential workshop is for therapists and mental health practitioners who want to deepen their felt-sense of working with chronic pain and illness—in their clients and themselves.

Grounded in Gestalt principles and body-centred awareness, the workshop invites you to explore suffering not as pathology to fix, but as an invitation to relational presence, existential meaning, and therapeutic aliveness.

Whether you live with chronic pain or work with those who do, this weekend offers a shared field of exploration—where embodied experience, personal resonance, and professional curiosity meet.

What to Expect
This workshop offers a rich blend of experiential process, group dialogue, and embodied exercises, including:
- Relational presence with pain: being-with, not doing-to
- Somatic and phenomenological practices to listen to symptoms as meaningful
- Gestalt-based awareness of how chronic pain shapes contact, identity, and relational field
- Space for personal process—especially if you navigate pain or fatigue in your own life
- A co-created environment where professional and personal voices are equally valued

Who Is This For?
-  Therapists, counsellors, and mental health practitioners
-  Practitioners living with chronic illness or fatigue
-  Anyone curious about a Gestalt-informed, embodied, and process-oriented approach to long-term suffering
-  Gestalt informed Continuing Professional Development
This is not a lecture—it’s a live encounter. Expect to work experientially, to reflect, move, speak, and be moved.
