A Relational Approach
Evidence from a range of areas, including healthcare,
education and economics, shows the benefits of attending to
relationships. The lives of individuals, families, teams,
communities and organisations are all positively impacted (e.g.
Spretnak 2011, Hosking and McNamee 2006, Painter-Moorland
2006).
We believe that the issues the world faces are best served by a
new global vision of interdependence; welcoming difference,
exploring values and supporting shared decision-making. We call
this combination a RELATIONAL approach, and believe this supports
building a better and sustainable future.
What Does ‘Relational’ Mean?
Relational for us means finding an optimal balance between
three interrelated elements:

We develop skills in assessing and working with each
